1. Great friends respect each other. If you don’t
want to be alone, they will sit and hold your hand. If you just need
some time alone, well, they don’t get their panties in a bunch—unless
of course, you disappear and they worry for your safety.
2. Great friends love you when you are at the top of your game and when you don’t have much game. They’ll see you through tough times and still love you for who you are and not what you have.
3. Great friends give without a thought of what they will get in return.
It might only be folding the clothes when you aren’t looking or picking
up the paper from the front lawn. They see a need and they fill it,
without being asked.
4. Great friends tell you the truth. They love you

5. Great friends are okay with the amount of information you want to share. They will let you talk it out in your own time. They are acutely aware of what may leave you feeling exposed.
6. Great friends enjoy life wherever they may be. It can be girl’s night in front of the TV with popcorn or a fancy night on the town that has you bonding.
7. Great friends put you first. They will let the
phone ring and return a call later. They will eat somewhere just
because they know you like it. They give you the unblemished apple and
take the one with the worm for themselves. Is it any wonder that some
friendships last longer than other relationships?
8. Great friends offer to give a small loan even thought they know you will never take them up on it. (It’s not always a good idea to loan money. Be sure they are a really good friend.)
9. Great friends listen and let you have your feelings, whatever they may be. They
are okay with the course you take. Well, you did choose them as a good
friend. Could it be you are friends because you think much alike?
10. Great friends don’t come along often. Some come
into our life like a meteor crashing through the atmosphere and others
are cultivated more slowly. However they come into your life, great
friends take care and cultivation. Hang on to ‘em if you’ve got ‘em.
Make them if you don’t
