*Rosa Parks (1913-):
On a December evening in 1955 she left work and got onto a bus in Alabama. In those days African Americans and white people were separated on buses, the white people sat infront Extraordinary People
and the african americans sat in the back.
Parks sat infront of the colored section.The bus became crowded and the bus driver asked Parks to give up her set, but she said no.
After that the police arrested her. Dr.Martin Luther King heard what happened and led a bus boycott .
Parks helped to end the separation between white and blacks. It was a beginning of a new period Of the Civil Rights movement. Parks said (I didn't get on the bus to get arrested) .She also said (Igot on the bus to go home).
