| Ramadan is avery important occasion for Muslims. It is a special religious period ,and all life changes in this month. Ramadan in Syria is similar to Ramadan in Morocco .In the both countries all people stop eating and drinking until the" athan",and after that they eat very delicious food beginning with dates and water. All the life daily routines change. The shops open late in the afternoon and the restaurants and cafes close until the "eftar" and they prepare very delicious food you have to register before along time to have your breakfast in a restaurant. During the day all people stay at their houses sitting in front of the TV watching series like" Bab Al Hara"and films to forget the food.
There are also some differences between Morocco and Syria in Ramadan. Syrians prey before the" athan"from the minarets .In Morocco, they prey after the "athan"from the minarets. In Morocco , during the lunchtime there is no traffic jam ,but in Syria there is a very big traffic jam especially in the centre of the city .In Syria ,we eat fattoush ,kabsi ,zngol and knafi. In Morocco, they eat barira soup fatteh and roast lamb. I think that Ramadan is avery important period that gives a chance for all people to think about poor people and help them | |
