In 1999, "...Baby One More Time" was a worldwide hit, N°1 in the American Hot 100, a record that Britney got again last week with "Womanizer". According to breatheheavy.com, the singer should go back to studios to record a new version for 2009, 10 years after her hit, renamed "One More Time".
At 26, Britney would like to give a new touch to her song. The hit is still an excellent song, cover by 28 artists since its release : Fountains Of Wayne, Travis, Richard Thompson, The Dresden Dolls, Hog Hoggidy Hog, Haddaway, Dweezil Zappa, Heretik Sound System, Children Of Bodom, Bowling For Soup, Simple Plan, Ten Masked Men, Decco Band, Black Ingvars, Mr. Bungle, Cargo City, Kevorkian, Wise Guys, Type O Negative, Doll Factory, Christian Ice, Evanescence, System Of A Down, Blink-182, Offspring, Weezer, Tori Amos & Panic At The Disco !
Britney Spears should be produced by Max Martin again, the one who launched her in charts from 1999 to 2001. She wants a more urban sound than the original version & it should be included as a bonus track on her new album Circus, released on December 2.
Also, the singer will go on tour from spring 2009. A stadium tour following the previous one, for her album In The Zone in 2004.
