The Maya people lived in enormous cities of southern Mexico and Guatemala. The father was responsible for his family.
The women took care of children and housework.
The boys and girls grew up rather differently , but at the end of childhood of both , the village had a big ceremony .
After the ceremony, boys and girls could get married.
In Maya culture, school was free for boys and girls.
In spite of being wheels used in the toys of children, the Maya did not use them in their work or transportation.
Animals were important in everyday life and religion.
They were used in the arts and decorations.
The Maya ate some dogs and used most of them for hunting and guiding people on journeys to the after life.
