[b][b]Ibn Battuta was the greatest traveler and explorer in the 14th century.
when he was 20 ,he decided to go on a pligimage to Mecca.
his trip took about 25 years.. and he visited about 44 countries .
he crossed mountains and he had many adventures , some were really dangerous :
he was captured by robbers in india and he was made a prisoner by the sultan in delhi
he visited amazing cities such as : Damascus ,Cairo , Alexandria , but his favorite was his home town (Tangier)
He also wrote a travel book which contains information and stories about his travels [/b].
