Slipknot - Band

[b]Slipknot[/b] is an American [u]Nu Metal[/u][url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heavy_metal_music][/url] band from [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Des_Moines,_Iowa]Des Moines, Iowa[/url], formed in 1995. Slipknot consists of nine members, the current band members are [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sid_Wilson]Sid Wilson[/url], [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joey_Jordison]Joey Jordison[/url], [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Gray_%28Slipknot%29]Paul Gray[/url], [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Fehn]Chris Fehn[/url], [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Root]Jim Root[/url], [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craig_Jones]Craig Jones[/url], [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shawn_Crahan]Shawn Crahan[/url], [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mick_Thomson]Mick Thomson[/url], and [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corey_Taylor]Corey Taylor[/url]. Each member of the band wears a unique [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mask]mask[/url].
Slipknot formed in 1995 and underwent several line-up changes following the independent release of their first demo [i][url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mate._Feed._Kill._Repeat.]Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat.[/url][/i] in 1996. That album featured original lead vocalist, Anders Colsefini. Their self-titled, major label debut, [i][url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slipknot_%28album%29]Slipknot[/url][/i], was released in 1999, featuring permanent new lead vocalist, Corey Taylor, and was followed by [i][url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iowa_%28album%29]Iowa[/url][/i] in 2001 and [i][url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vol._3:_%28The_Subliminal_Verses%29]Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)[/url][/i] in 2004. On August 25, 2008, the band returned to release their fourth studio album, [i][url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Hope_Is_Gone]All Hope Is Gone[/url][/i], which debuted at the top spot on the [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billboard_200]Billboard 200[/url] charts. The band has released three DVDs, including [i][url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disasterpieces]Disasterpieces[/url][/i], which was certified quadruple-platinum in the United State
