[b]born Nathan Jonas Jordison[/b] on [b]April 26[/b], [b]1975[/b] in [b]Des Moines[/b], [b]Iowa[/b] is the drummer for [b]Slipknot[/b], a nine-man [b]crossover[/b]
band from his home town. He writes some of the lyrics for the band's
songs and plays guitar as well. Jordison is a former member of [b]Avanga[/b] and [b]Modifidious[/b], both of which he left for [b]Slipknot[/b]. He was also in [b]Anal Blast[/b], a side project of [b]Modifidious[/b]. In addition to drumming for [b]Slipknot[/b], he plays guitar for the [b]Murderdolls[/b] with [b]Wednesday 13[/b], a side project.Jordison has played drums for [b]Metallica[/b] at the 2004 Download Festival at Donnington due to [b]Lars Ulrich[/b]'s injury. He is good friends with [b]Marilyn Manson[/b] and was involved with remixing Manson's [b]Fight Song[/b]. He also appeared in Manson's video for the song [b]Tainted Love[/b].
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~In addition to creating
the tribal "S" logo that all the band members have as a tattoo, he is
known for his extremely fast double bass style of drumming and a solo
that he performs whilst strapped into a rotating drum kit. He confesses
that this is influenced by [b]Motley Crue[/b] drummer [b]Tommy Lee[/b].
