One of the most famous landmarks in [b]Hama [/b]is the water wheels"[b]The Norias[/b]".They are set in natural depression.These wheels have been used to irrigate the surrounding valleys.They roll with the river current.They scoop water out of the low-lying [b]Orontes[/b] and deposit it in aqueducts that then distribute it to the farmlands.However,none of the[b] Norias[/b] is working now.They are just ruins.
