It is a means of developing relations and enhancing understanding between individuals and the people of the world .Friendship increases man's happiness and lessens his misery but it is a fragile thing, and requires as much care in handling as any other fragile and precious thing.[/font]

[font:0665='Comic Sans MS']this noble passion sometimes involves an amount of mutual misunderstanding which arises when this sublime relationship is blemished by material interests. Therefore, this relationship should be balanced; otherwise it would generate hatred and enmity. In this concern, one should purify one's heart with education, toleration and forgiveness, which is the way to create a beautiful atmosphere of social communication which is also the way to a refined morality.[/font]

As Fuller says, "let friendship creep gently to a height; if it rushes up to it, it may soon run itself out of breath". Real friends are a sure refuge in poverty and in life's other misfortunes, so one has to gain new friends through life. If he does not, he will soon find himself left alone. A true friend is a gift of God. In this context, the difficulty is not so great to die for a friend, as to find a friend worth dyingfor . Such a friend should be virtuous and unwilling to criticize and find fault with others. One learns virtues from a virtuous friend. As for false friends, they are as Bovee says, "like our shadow, keeping close to us while we walk in the sunshine, but leaving us the instant we cross into the shade". no doubt this statement tells us to distinguish between a true friend and a false one.[/font]
