PostSubject: to the southwest by Palestine and Lebanon    Mon Aug 02, 2010 7:01 pm

Syrian Arab Republic is bounded to the north by Turkey, to the east by Iraq, to the south by Jordan, and to the southwest by Palestine (Israel) and Lebanon

Damascus is the Capital of Syria. Aleppo is 220 km north of Damascus and is Syria's next major city. These two cities as well as Latakia, have International Airports. Latakia & Tartus are Syria's main ports on the Mediterranean.

Syria covers a total area of 185,180 sq. km (71,548 sq. mi.). Syria has a coastline of 180 km (112) miles to the Mediterranean Sea. Syria shares borders with, Lebanon to the West, Turkey to the North, Iraq to the East, and Jordan to the South. Syria, also shares borders with Palestine and Israel to the south west.

We are working to add city maps of some of the Major Cities. Please check back later to see a detailed map of Damascus & Aleppo.

If you would like maps or brochures, please call the Syrian Embassy in your country or you can visit a Tourism office when in Syria. You should also be able to find maps at the Airport or Hotel.
