Army was discovered in 1974 when a well was dug on a farm near Xian. Qin became
the first emperor of China when he was 39. He ruled as Emperor until his death.
He made great changes to his country. He introduced a single writing system, a new legal system
and new money. He started the first Great Wall. It took 700000 workers to build
Qin's tomb- nobody knows the exact position of the tomb because the workers
were killed to protect the secret of its location. The tomb contains rich
treasures. The top of the tomb has hundreds of pearls and the floor has a
hundred rivers of mercury. The figures of Terracotta Army were placed near the
tomb to protect the Emperor. [/b]
